terms of service

last updated: february 2026

what this is

nolocal.host is a localhost tunneling service operated by Yvent e.U. (Austria). you run a command, we give you a public URL that points to your local machine. when you stop, the URL dies. these terms govern your use of the service.

what you agree to

  • don't use this for illegal stuff. obviously.
  • don't use tunnels to host malware, phishing pages, or anything designed to harm others.
  • don't abuse the service to bypass rate limits or circumvent bans.
  • don't use this for production workloads. it's for sharing and demoing.

what we do

  • we proxy traffic between the internet and your localhost. we do not persistently store request content on our servers. cloudflare processes traffic in transit for security and delivery purposes (see our privacy policy for details).
  • we log metadata (IP, subdomain, timestamps) for abuse prevention.
  • we can terminate any tunnel at any time if it violates these terms or for operational reasons.

free tier

the free tier requires no account and no payment. tunnels are ephemeral and time-limited. random subdomains are assigned. subdomain claims expire after 7 days of inactivity.

pro tier

pro subscriptions are billed monthly at $8/month through creem, our merchant of record. creem handles billing, invoicing, and VAT. you can cancel anytime through your creem billing portal or our dashboard. when you cancel, your custom subdomains are released immediately.

refunds and cancellations are handled by creem in accordance with their terms. as a digital service provided immediately upon subscription, the 14-day withdrawal right under Austrian law (FAGG) may not apply if you expressly consented to immediate delivery during checkout and acknowledged the loss of your right of withdrawal. if you did not, you may exercise your withdrawal right within 14 days of subscription by contacting us at [email protected].

liability

for the free tier: the service is provided without guarantees of uptime or availability. we do our best, but free means free.

for the pro tier: we aim to provide reliable service but cannot guarantee uninterrupted availability. our liability for damages is limited to the amount you paid in the 12 months preceding the event.

these limitations do not apply to: damages caused by intentional misconduct or gross negligence, personal injury, or other cases where liability cannot be excluded under Austrian law (KSchG).

privacy

we take your privacy seriously. our privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, and what rights you have.

changes

we may update these terms. if we make material changes, we will notify registered users by email at least 14 days before the changes take effect. if you disagree with the changes, you may terminate your account before they take effect. the current version is always available at nolocal.host/terms.

governing law

these terms are governed by Austrian law. if you are a consumer within the EU, this does not affect the mandatory consumer protection rules of your country of residence.

dispute resolution

the European Commission provides a platform for online dispute resolution (ODR): ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr. we are neither obligated nor willing to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
